Weekly Wager: Week 9

Stanford @ Oregon State (+21.0) - SAT 3:30PM - ABC
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'm taking Stanford to cover against Oregon State after last week's quadruple OT game at USC put The Cardinal at 11-0 ATS dating back to last year. The Cardinal will not be challenged by a struggling Oregon State team this Saturday. Not only will Andrew Luck shred the Beavers secondary, The Cardinal's running game will likely do better than its average 215 yards per game as the Beavers have been beaten up at the line of scrimmage by weaker opponents. If the game does stay close, look for Oregon State to start turning the ball over and add to their Pac-12 leading 21 turnovers...Stanford 52, Oregon State 21

LSU @ Alabama (-4.0) - SAT 8:00PM - CBS
Alabama has given up two rushing TDs at home in four seasons. LSU did not turn the ball over in the month of October. Alabama is 45-3 when leading at halftime under Saban. Two of the three losses were to LSU. In the last eight matchups between these two, the halftime leader is 2-6. Really? College football is about to get a whole lot better. LSU has been surprising folks all season and Les Miles deserves credit for the job he's done in the face of adversity, but it won't be enough in Tuscaloosa. Trent Richardson is a man among boys, and Alabama's defense is playing at a ridiculous level. Alabama is giving up 181 yards of offense per game and less than 2 yards per carry. Offense sells tickets and Defense wins championships. Alabama comes out on top in an awesome game...LSU 21, Alabama 31

San Francisco @ Washington (+3.5) - SUN 1:00PM - FOX
The wheels are coming off in the nation's capital. Right about now, Mike Shanahan is wishing he didn't get his kid involved in the mess that is the Washington Redskins, and Jim Harbaugh is proving brother John isn't the only Harbaugh badass in the NFL. Interestingly, John Beck's play at QB is no better statistically than Grossman's play; Beck is throwing 3 INTs for each TD as was Grossman, and Beck is completing 59% of his passes compared to Grossman's 56% completion rate. On the other sideline, Harbaugh has Alex Smith playing the best football of his career and a top 3 defense in a weak division. Look for the 49ers to continue rolling in D.C. this weekend....San Francisco 24, Washington 10

Cincinnati @ Tennessee (-3.0) - SUN 4:05PM - CBS
Andy Dalton and the Bengals are in the midst of a 4-game winning streak - the longest streak for Cincy since 1988. I can already hear the "Who Dey" chants. The Bengals are currently allowing a second-best 85 rushing ypg and rank ninth against the pass allowing just 212 ypg. I repeat, Offense sells tickets, Defense wins championships. Despite the Titans 3-1 record at home, I expect Cincy's D to step up and prolong Chris Johnson's problems. The Bengals Offense clicks with the return of Cedric Benson...Cincinnati 27, Tennessee 20
